Laketown conducted a multi-year effort to research and develop a Large Livestock Ordinance. Without the ordinance, LAKETOWN WILL HAVE NO REGULATION OF THESE GIANT FACTORIES!
Read the 2022 ordinance along with the bibliography and maps that provides its basis. Laketown developed the ordinance in partnership with five neighboring towns - Bone Lake, Eureka, Luck, Sterling and Trade Lake. A panel of legal, environmental and engineering experts guided its development. There is also a slide show about the ordinance and the 2020 report that was completed during Laketown's Large Livestock moratorium.
